About the Project
Riviera Country Club retained JMorton for Planning & Landscape Architecture services for the renovation of the pool and vehicular entry area hardscape elements for the clubhouse redesign. While retaining the active and lap pool shells, the new pool deck design utilizes the interplay between banding and field to incorporate and contrast the pool slide, zero grade interactive play fountain and trellis shade features while allowing for additional at grade planters and enhanced pool deck perimeter buffer planting. The vehicular entry sense of place was strengthened by adding pavers to the public roadway, reinforcing the pedestrian access locations and the site’s connection to adjacent parking.
Securing the entitlements was a critical aspect of the Planning Services provided to Riviera Country Club. Parking regulations can impact every master planning decision including design and placement of the new clubhouse, amenities and surrounding grounds. The JMorton planning team worked with the architect and design consultants to locate the building footprint to best utilize the space while maximizing parking and street appeal.
